Welcome

To the Apostolic Church of Henderson

We want to welcome and thank you for taking an interest in the Apostolic Church of Henderson. The word Apostolic means to be Apostle Like. We follow the Apostles Doctrine and are firm believers of one God. In first Corinthians 1:11 – Paul himself said “Follow me as I follow Christ”‘ Here at the Apostolic Church of Henderson, that is exactly what we do. We believe that the bible is the infallible Word of God. That is why we are bible based and heaven bound. Our church was founded on the day of Pentecost and we have been in Henderson since 2003, but our Doctrine is from the Apostles and established by the Word of God. Join us for church and lets worship God and walk together in the LORD.

Come As You Are

Sometimes we think to ourselves – I need to get myself just right before I start going to church or starting a relationship with God.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. God wants us to come to Him as we are. He is the Restorer of lives and the Builder of dreams. There is nothing we can do to earn our way into heaven or be worthy of salvation. It is a free gift that God gives us when we follow the plan of reconciliation laid out in His word. So please, come as you are and watch God work miracles in your life.

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Duet 6:4

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:38

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Galations 1:8

Water Baptism

Acts 2:38

You must be born of Water and Spirit

Peter tells us In the second chapter of Acts to be baptized for the remission of sins. Baptism is the immersion in water calling on the name of Jesus. This action is what washes away our sins. Jesus told Nicodemus that without being born again, we cannot see the Kingdom of Heaven.

The book of Acts in every instance where baptism was performed, the apostles baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

One God

Duetoronomy 6:4

The Lord our God

We believe that there is only one God. We do not believe that there is a trinity. The word trinity is not even in the bible. The clarity in which the bible tells us about the oneness of God is undeniable. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He was, and is, and is to come. There can only be one Almighty.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.

Jesus Is God

Isaiah 9:6

The Mighty God

There is a scripture in the bible that shows us exactly who Jesus is. He is more than just a good man, a prophet, or even a rebel who was trying to overthrow the Roman empire. No, Jesus was actually the one and only God in the the flesh. When the prophet Isaiah foretold of his coming in the 9th chapter and 6th verse of his book. It very clearly tells us everything that Jesus would be.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

OUR DOCTRINE

Our basic and fundamental doctrine follows what the apostles taught, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

REPENTANCE

BAPTISM

HOLY GHOST

We will continue to keep the Apostles doctrine and the gospel given to us, at the same time admonishing all brethren that they shall not contend for their different views to the disunity of the body.
